Meeting Domain modeling: How
can it boost your business analysis powers? Topic Overview The
typical “system shall” list of requirements is long, unwieldy, disorganized,
incomplete, inconsistent and incorrect. Savvy business analysts know that
– even if they must keep a pro forma “system shall” list – their analysis
ability is greatly enhanced by using a domain model. Not only does this
model record requirements more concisely and verifiably, it actually assists
the business analyst in eliciting the real business requirements in the first
place. This talk will show what a good domain model can do for your
business analysis skills and productivity. Key Learning Objectives: At
the end of the talk you will: Presenter: Meilir Page-Jones is the award-winning

Practical Guide to Structured Systems Design (1988), What Every Programmer Should Know

in UML (1999), as well as numerous articles on software development
and management. Meilir works as president and senior methodologist at Wayland
